There is something magical about this place: the cliffs, the earth and the forest dominate us in all their splendour. However, man has left his mark here too. We can imagine legendary cities sculpted in the rock… Our journey concludes in the cave’s warren, a labyrinthine forest of rocks decorated with unimaginable crystal concretions… This journey will definitely leave its mark on you.

Lascaux II
I visited the Grand Roc Cave with two children aged 6 and 7. We all loved the intimate feel of this small cave with its rock formations. It feels quite different to most other caves and chasms of this type, which are mostly vast and imposing. Here, it was the thousands of tiny, curious formations which captured our imaginations. The guide told us about their history and explained the secrets of their formation – absolutely fascinating !

Grand Roc Cave
It’s great fun explaining to children that the drops of water falling on their head do not come from icicles, but of stalactites made of calcite…
